Mario has a background that includes graduating from Florida Air Academy as an Executive Officer/1st. Lt. and Varsity Basketball MVP with various scholarship offers and nomination to the US Naval Academy and US Merchant Marine Academy after receiving the highest score in the State of Florida on the entrance exam.

He was awarded scholarships and played college basketball as starting guard at the now defunct, University of Palm Beach, then later at Eastern New Mexico University. Mario left Eastern New Mexico University early after one semester to play in the minor leagues, industrial leagues until finishing a pro basketball stint in Montevideo, Uruguay. Nine years later, he returned to Eastern New Mexico University and completed his degree since the college honored his original basketball scholarship despite not being able to play college after his professional career.  

Mario started in the film/TV production business in 1987, became a Member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy) in 1996 and a member of the TV Academy Diversity Group Committee. Developed and produced such projects as FRAME 313: The JFK Assassination Theories, Obama in NC: The Path to History, The Real Zodiac Killer, The Valley of Tears to name a few; all, which lead to his present-day position as CEO of Requia Studios, which is registered and holds trademark as a General Partnership in Florida.

Mario served on several Chamber of Commerce committees and Board of Directors including:

Brevard Chamber of Commerce (Florida) and Brevard Business Council (Florida)

Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce (Health Committee)

BlockWatch Advisory Board (Phoenix)

Mario is a former Screen Actors Guild – AFTRA Producer’s Relations Committee Member (1993)

1995 – 1999 Media Arts Management represented Mario as Producer, along with partner, Writer – Producer, Mark Miller (“A Walk in the Clouds”) and their Production Company, Brigantine Film Productions, Inc.

2001 – 2004 Myman, Abell, Fineman, Greenspan & Light, LLP signed Mario when he opened with a partner his studio, Atomic Spirit Productions. The firm also provided Legal representation to Mario and his Production Companies, MFD Films, LLC, MFD Entertainment, LLC and Inescapable Entertainment, LLC as Executive Producers.

2004, International Creative Management – I.C.M. (LA/NY) brought in by Bob Levinson (Head of WW Television) represented Mario as Executive Producer and his TV Series (two Reality and two Scripted) projects he had with Writer-Producer Joseph Morhaim and Director-Producer William A. Graham.
